Layered, delicate and totally free from conventions: that's Auchentoshan 12. With its golden honey color and crème brulee aromas, this versatile Scotch whisky will surprise your tastebuds. It has a smooth, sweet flavor spiked with lime and tangerine, pinned down by that classic Auchentoshan flavor. Perfect for mixing, this urban single malt works just as well in a cocktail as it does with ice or soda. Like all Auchentoshan expressions, the 12 year old is triple distilled for extra smoothness. It's then aged for 12 years in a combination of American oak bourbon and Spanish sherry casks. This gives the whisky more time to mellow and mature, while picking up flavors of fruit, nuts and gingery spice from the time in wood. Since 1823, the Auchentoshan distillery has proudly sat on the outskirts of Glasgow. Scotland's second city has changed a lot since then, and has been through industrial, artistic and political revolutions. Just like the city it was born in, Auchentoshan is lively, unconventional and always up for a good time. This offbeat approach to whisky-making has paid off: Auchentoshan 12 has won its fair share of awards, including Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2020 and Silver at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in both 2017 and 2018.
