With the guidance of a savvy friend, they spent a year fine-tuning their creation through a grueling process of trial and error. Ultimately, they chose two types of water — one filtered through the ancient rock from a 15,000-year-old South Island aquifer and the other pure spring water from the North Island. And if the rumors are true that the purity of Vodka is tied to the water it's distilled with, we think you can already guess how this tale ends.
Broken Shed Vodka quickly shakes off all your expectations about how it should taste like. It offers a refreshing retreat from everything mundane with a medley of butterscotch vanilla notes that effortlessly glide into a smooth, peppery, and bittersweet crescendo — the kind of taste that ingnites the flames of camaraderie and good times. Now, the creation process is deceptively simple, but by no means easy. They start with mineral-rich water from the South Island of New Zealand, blend it with some filtered spring water from the North Island, and top it off with a unique Spirit made from the whey that's so pure it only needs to be distilled three times.
