New American Oak has always been a key feature of Bourbon, but for America's 250th, we wanted to double down on its influence in the whiskey.

This whiskey is a blend of low rye Bourbon (21% rye) barrels, mostly aged in Kentucky. For secondary finishing, we used ZAK Cooperage Wave Stave Char 1 barrels in four different toast levels to craft a dark and bold Bourbon with ample sweet notes of caramel and fruit. In other words, unapologetically American.

On the nose, this whiskey is rich with aromas of cherry cola and burnt sugar. Once sipped, bold flavors of vanilla bean paste and dark caramel before revealing notes of rock candy and fresh orange zest. The finish is long and robust with hints of toffee, maraschino cherry and pipe tobacco.
