Ruinart Blanc Singulier is presented as a collection of singular Editions, that will succeed one another at the rhythm of the years marked by an atypical climate. Its first cuvee in 20 years.
This Edition stands as a testimony to the climatic variations encountered by our vines throughout the year 2018. Benefiting from a warm and sun-drenched season, the vine's vegetative cycle accelerated significantly, leading to an early and bountiful harvest commencing in August. These distinctive weather conditions brought forth diverse aromatic profiles.
2018 was a particularly warm year in the Champagne region with an average temperature of 12.8°C, 1.1°C higher than the 10-year average. The level of sunshine reached a record this year in Champagne with 2,169 hours of sunshine (+19% compared to the ten-year average) and surpassed that of the scorching year 2003, while rainfall decreased by 7% with 659 mm of rain compared to the ten-year average of 706 mm.
