The vines in this hidden vineyard were 62-years old when they were picked for this wine. It doesn’t yield a lot of fruit, but the result is a delicate, floral bouquet of fresh berry fruit. This is a lovely wine with hints of blackberry, strawberry and black pepper. This wine will delight Pinot Noir lovers - looking for something a little more daring.
Review: "This was obviously a denser, deeper, richer wine than the normal Homefire. It had more of a combination of black and red fruit. The fruit character is ripe, slightly jammy, dried (like a fruit leather, not raisinated). The oakiness in the wine is balanced, with subtle cocoa and carob notes. There is a nice spiciness in the middle palate, with notes of sarsaparilla/root beer (a good thing!).
